Poetry Workshop: Is This a Poem?

July 29 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

Is This a Poem? Prose Poetry in All Its Possibilities
A Poetry workshop taught by Poet Laureate Georgia Popoff
This virtual workshop runs every Monday for 6 sessions from 7 – 9 PM
July – Sept 9, 2024 (no meeting on Labor Day, 9/2)
Fee: $250

The notion of prose poetry can be confounding. How do we know it is a poem? Does it cross genre boundaries? What happens when we take the tools of lines, stanza, enjambment, and rely on the poetic language to drive the message to our reader? We will examine prose poems that succeed in connection as we also explore our own work in the form.
