Cave paintings are also known as parietal art. They are painted drawings on cave walls or ceilings, mainly of prehistoric origin, dated to some 40,000 years ago in Eurasia. We will study ancient cave art from Indonesia (the oldest) to Europe. Then we will make our own miniature caves with art inside, and
create pictograph poems and stories. On the last day we will present our projects to parents and friends. The cost is $120, which includes morning & afternoon snacks (students bring their own lunch). Registration is limited to 22 students. (Delaware Academy students, full scholarships; full and partial scholarships for Delaware and Otsego County students).
