Linda Lowen is a book reviewer for Publishers Weekly in Adult Memoir and Nonfiction and Children’s Fiction/Nonfiction, and for Blue Ink Review which focuses on the self-publishing industry. Her nonfiction has been published in the Sunday New York Times and in “Tiny Love Stories: True Tales of Love in 100 Words or Less” (Artisan Books 2020). She’s authored two books, “Secret Syracuse: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure,” (Reedy Press 2023), and “100 Things to Do in Syracuse Before You Die,” (Reedy Press 2022) and has contributed essays to “Writing That Gets Noticed: Find Your Voice, Become a Better Storyteller, Get Published” (New World Library 2023), “Love Her, Love Her Not: The Hillary Paradox” (She Writes Press 2015), and “Mothers of Intention: How Women & Social Media Are Revolutionizing Politics in America” (Bright Sky Press 2011). Her advice on the craft of writing has appeared in publications from Writer’s Digest to The Writer magazine. She’s also a theater reviewer for the Syracuse Post-Standard and has reviewed on Broadway. A former award-winning radio and TV producer/talk show host, Linda is a member of the National Book Critics Circle and teaches at writing workshops and conferences across the Northeast.
Jason Emerson is an award-winning historian and poet. He is the author or editor of eight books and nearly fifty articles, and has published a dozen poems in various journals. He has appeared as a historical expert on multiple television and radio shows and podcasts, and has lectured around the country from the Library of Congress to the Lincoln Shrine in Redlands, California, and everywhere in between.
